| Charter |
Provide
new information and options to adults interested in building
awareness about a horrific disease that affects both women and
men. Additionally, create and produce bleeding edge integrated
marketing communications tools that seamlessly blends messages
to both women and men without offending or intruding on the
former, where the perception is that breast cancer is only a
“women’s disease.” |
| Facts |
Of
those annually diagnosed with breast cancer, one-half to one
percent are male. These figures may be much higher if men regularly
self-examined, and doctors included an examination in yearly
check-ups. One oncologist suggested the figure may be 10-12
percent, while another had it at 15-20 percent. (In Zambia,
the figure is 15 percent, and in Egypt and Tanzania, it is six.) |
