The agency will always be organizationally horizontal without traditional layers of authority. This makes us lean, which is just plain good business, and sets us apart from traditional agency structures.

William J.P. Smith, Jr.

Bill has always had the passion for writing. His experiences are diverse, covering a wide range of media genre, including public relations, print advertising, television news and commercials, radio, journalism, promotions, direct marketing, the Internet, event marketing, manuscripts, speeches and screenplays. On both the client and agency side, Bill has been associated with Xerox, Hoechst, BMW, US West, Coca Cola, Team McLaren, Quaker State, America's Cup, U.S. Olympic Biomedicine program, Data General, Harvard Medical School, Florida State University and Digital Equipment, as well as a host of entrepreneurial start ups. His agency affiliations have been with arguably some of the most creative ever, including Doyle Dane Bernbach, Scali McCabe Sloves, and Ammariti & Puris. In-between, he as taught a wide range of courses from global marketing to mass media to public relations writing at such schools as Emerson College, Pepperdine University, Northeastern University, California Lutheran University, Citrus College, and Azusa Pacific University.

Bill received a journalism degree from Florida State University, and is a product of Boston University and New York University from which he holds a masters, majoring in public relations. In his spare time, he continues to write, studies human behavior, cooks, photographs people, and finds the best jazz joints in town.

 

 

Kathy Smith
Strategic Planner, Designer, Creative Director

As a designer, Kathy is at the forefront of the new breed of creative director, being equally at ease behind her computer or at a client meeting, discussing strategic planning. With a magna cum laude BFA degree from Syracuse University, she has honed her professional skills within a wide range of market categories with such companies as SPSmedical Corporation, CVS Pharmacy, K-Mart, Angotti's Premium Ice Cream, Hickory Farms, Bully Hill Winery and Star Markets.

Within these organizations, Kathy has been responsible for the creative product, including strategic planning; creative concepts to finished products for print advertising, TV commercials, promotion pieces, corporate ID, packaging, voice overs, digital photography and illustration; client contact; branding; website concept, and budget management. Beyond the call of duty, she created an eight-foot tall fiberglass giraffe, used in a community as the positioning for a socially responsible company.

What's left of her time, Kathy indulges in fine art painting and illustration, photography, antique collecting, museum wanderings, and the theatre.
